Happy Targets investigate the crossover of memory and interpretation, mixing my childhood experiences with my current parental reality.
Siblings fighting, enjoying a cup of tea, a moment of baking success, waiting for game over, kids playing with pets, kids being attacked by their pets and unfinished home renovations are familiar triggers associated with growing up and parenthood. My work attempts to explore these ideas through appropriated visual images as emotive targets with the psychological consequences of pride, confidence and positive self-image as well as guilt, fear and anxiety.
